A 10m presentation should have around 5–10 slides.

Rule of 3

1. Know the audience: Understanding your audience is essential to delivering an effective product presentation. Research the audience beforehand to understand their needs, interests, and pain points. Tailor the presentation to address their specific concerns and to demonstrate how the product can help them solve their problems.

2. Focus on the user experience: Steve Jobs always emphasized the user experience and how his products could make people’s lives easier and more enjoyable. He demonstrated the benefits of his products in a way that made it easy for people to imagine themselves using them.

A — Attention: Start by grabbing your audience’s attention with a hook or attention-grabbing opening. This could be a surprising fact, a powerful image, or a provocative question that piques their interest.

I — Interest: Once you have their attention, you need to build their interest by outlining the problem or challenge that your audience is facing. Explain why this problem is important and why they should care about it.

D — Desire: Next, you need to create desire by presenting your solution to the problem. Show how your product or idea can help solve the problem and provide value to your audience. Use compelling visuals, case studies, or other evidence to make your solution tangible and real.

A — Action: Finally, end your presentation with a call to action, encouraging your audience to take the next step. This could be to sign up for a product trial, schedule a meeting, or take some other action that moves them closer to becoming a customer or supporter. Make sure your call to action is clear, concise, and compelling.

3. Keep it simple: When it comes to product presentations, less is often more. Keep your presentation simple and easy to understand, using clear, concise language and visuals that are easy to follow. Avoid technical jargon or overly complex explanations, and focus on the key points that are most important to your audience. Include Stories with visual art.

Delivering:

  1. Use the HAIL method: HAIL stands for Honesty, Authenticity, Integrity, and Love. These are key traits that can help you connect with your audience on a deeper level and establish trust and rapport.
  2. Focus on your voice: Your voice is a powerful tool for communication. To make sure your message is heard loud and clear, work on improving your tone, pitch, pace, and volume. Experiment with different vocal techniques to find what works best for you.
  3. Tell stories: Stories are a powerful way to engage your audience and make your message more memorable. Use personal anecdotes, metaphors, or other storytelling techniques to help illustrate your points and make them more relatable.
